M. P. EVANS GROUP PLC
("THE GROUP")
PUBLICATION OF TCFD REPORT
M.P. Evans Group PLC, a producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil, is pleased to announce that, following the publication of its 2023 ESG report earlier this year, it has now published the second Group report based on the guidelines of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (the "TCFD").
The report sets out the Group's governance arrangements for monitoring and managing climate-related risks, along with strategic and risk-management responses. It also measures the Group's total greenhouse-gas emissions, expressed in tonnes of CO2 equivalents, for 2023, along with the progress made since the Group's baseline year for TCFD reporting in 2021. Total emissions have reduced by 19% since the baseline year, and the Group is working towards its established net-zero targets, along with other climate-related targets such as increasing the amount of protected conservation land managed by the Group. Further details are included in the report.
A copy of the TCFD report is available for download from the sustainability section of the Group website (mpevans.co.uk/sustainability/sustainability-reports), and the Group has a limited number of printed copies available, which can be requested from the head office (enquiries@mpevans.co.uk).
